…ntly the weakest, shortest, and certainly the most pathetic speakership in modern American history. His removal was tinged with a bitter personal vendetta between himself and Matt Gaetz, his chief tormenter, over an ongoing ethics investigation into Gaetz, which the latter blames on the speaker.
