Nailed it!

For Republicans, this feels like a win-win. If they force a global financial crisis, they’ll get to blame Joe Biden for “failing to lead” or whatever. If Biden caves and gives them what they want, they’ll get to slash spending, weakening the government’s ability to do its job, which will only strengthen their argument that the government is always terrible.
