“I’m pulling your strings, twisting your mind and smashing your dreams”

— of course, you are, Republicans! Rock band Metallica may not delve into politics. In 2017 they declared they weren’t a “political band”, but a line from 1986’s “Master of Puppets” seems to be foretelling.

Republicans pull everyone’s strings [by the way: name a politician that doesn’t master this art]. From getting people to donate to campaigns [heck, Donald J. Trump got the RNC to pay his legal bills] to lobbyists pulling politicians’ strings. It’s all about the money, it’s a gas! [That’s another song, another time]

Once they have pulled your strings tight enough to rope you in, they must keep you [strangling effect]. That’s where they become bendy.

Your mind gets twisted like a pretzel when you think about politicians telling the truth. A scale had to be invented for us regular folk to figure it out. True and false went out the window. There’s true, mostly true, half true, mostly false, false, and pants on fire.

Remember “alternative facts”? Your head exploded, didn’t it?

Politics is a Fudgin’ cesspool. Will try to be civil and pertinent. NO labels. Equal opportunity basher. Talk hot-button issues.
