Conservatives Outraged that Someone Is Reading to their Kids
Do kids know what a Drag Queen is? Do the kids even know that they are males [of any age] expressing their personality with dress and makeup? Unless the parents yell and scream about it in front of them. I’d like to be a fly on the wall listening to a parent explain, hemming and hawing and stammering, what a Drag Queen is. Of course, their understanding is probably skewed. Thinking about someone serving drinks in a bar or singing on a stage surrounded by drunk men.
Kids might be more scared of the angry, threatening parents than the Drag Queens. Are parents indoctrinating their kids to be angry drama queens?
All kids see are people who like to dress up and use their imaginations. Gosh, forbid kids to use their imaginations! Freedom of Expression. A part of the First Amendment? That’s not the amendment Conservatives like to talk about.
Are adults’ afraid kids will explore their own identity? Perhaps. They’re kids. “Groomers” is a term adults like to toss out. What are they grooming the kids for? To read?
These story hours have been around since 2015. Why didn’t Donald J Trump make this an election issue? Guess Steve Bannon failed to point it out to him?
